Our first priority is to ensure that any Bitcoin funds you hold in your iPayYou account are safe.

Because of the coming Blockchain upgrade on August 1, 2017, we will temporarily suspend our services until this upgrade is complete. Our schedule of service suspension is provided below.

Any suspension of services by iPayYou is temporary for the duration of the Blockchain upgrade. We will restore all services once this upgrade is completed.

On August 1, 2017, the Blockchain is going to undergo an upgrade to its core protocol. This upgrade is designed to result in a more scalable infrastructure, with faster transaction confirmations and lower fees.

Because the Blockchain is not controlled by a single party, there are multiple proposals being discussed for this upgrade. Some of these proposals may result in what is called a â€œforkâ€ in the Blockchain with two digital currencies created: Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCC).

We will provide you with access to your Bitcoin (BTC) funds after the upgrade.

We do not currently plan on supporting Bitcoin Cash (BCH) because of the limited support for this new digital currency by the mining community. We will review demand for Bitcoin Cash (BCC) and will enable withdrawal of BCC provided sufficient demand. We cannot estimate when or if withdrawal of BCC will be available.

Customers who wish to transact in Bitcoin Cash (BCH) will need to withdraw all their Bitcoin funds from your iPayYou account and have these transactions confirmed on the Blockchain before the start of the fork.

Because duration of settlement time for bitcoin purchase / sale takes a number of days, we are temporarily suspending all purchases and sale of bitcoin.

We are also suspending sale of non-Amazon.com gift cards from our â€œShoppingâ€ tab.

Amazon.com gift cards will still available for sale (up to the limit of our inventory). If you wish to sell , purchasing an Amazon.com card may be a good option for you. You may redeem your Amazon.com gift card at any time at Amazon.com or you may wish to hold it until the Blockchain upgrade is completed. At that time, if you have not opened your card, we will be able to purchase back the gift card for bitcoin at the conversion rate at the time (25% restocking fee will apply).

All iPayYou bitcoin services will be temporarily suspended. You will not be able to withdraw bitcoin or use it to perform any other transactions, such as purchasing gift cards.
